At CABVI, we are pleased to offer a number of resources for people who are blind and visually impaired in our area. Founded in 1929, the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired provides resources to those with limited or no sight in the Central New York region. Our mission has remained the same over the years – to assist people who are blind or visually impaired to achieve their highest level of independence.
CABVI continues to operate as a not-for-profit agency that serves people who are blind or visually impaired, from newborns to the elderly, usually at no charge. We offer comprehensive vision rehabilitation, employment and technology services personally tailored to people with visual impairments.
At CABVI, our priority has always been providing resources to those living in Central New York who are blind and visually impaired.
We strive to help people find all the resources they need in order to live as successfully and independently as possible. CABVI works to connect people who are blind and visually impaired with resources that will help them achieve their goals and live more fully.
